Wheat-free pasta
I recently tried the quinoa pasta (I got it at Earthfare) and was quite pleased with the taste, etc. Ingredients are quinoa and corn flour, but no wheat - of course, double check me before you feed it to the kids! :o) It is a bit more expensive than traditional pasta but otherwise it cooked very similarly. Thought I'd pass it along in case you guys had not seen it (unlikely, given that you all are the experst here, but just in case!). Incidentally, it also has much more fiber than regular pasta - something that pleases the GI in me too!

Yes! Let the GI be pleaasssseeedd. Mmmm, quinoa. USAID and the World Food Programme both list quinoa as a "supergrain" for the amount of nutrition contained in each compact little seed -- it's being seen as a solution to hunger in China as well as throughout the rest of the world.
Pleaassseee the GI.
