Movies Under The Stars
Though this is not specifically Eos-related, I thought you might be interested:
MCG started their annual movie series "Movies Under the Stars" last weekend. The movies are kid-friendly (G/PG) and are shown on the screen at the Columbia County amphitheater on Saturdays at 7pm. It is a different movie each week and they include: Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Waterhorse, Horton Hears a Who (was last week)... I can get the complete list and dates for anyone who is interested.
Cost is $2 for adults and $1 for kids, gates open at 7pm, movie starts at dark. Coolers are allowed (no alcohol, of course) so you can bring Eos-friendly foods! Bring blankets/chairs and enjoy the show!

Wheat-free pasta
I recently tried the quinoa pasta (I got it at Earthfare) and was quite pleased with the taste, etc. Ingredients are quinoa and corn flour, but no wheat - of course, double check me before you feed it to the kids! :o) It is a bit more expensive than traditional pasta but otherwise it cooked very similarly. Thought I'd pass it along in case you guys had not seen it (unlikely, given that you all are the experst here, but just in case!). Incidentally, it also has much more fiber than regular pasta - something that pleases the GI in me too!

June 19 meeting
It's almost time for our next meeting and I would like to let everyone know that we will meet at the same park/playground at the Columbia County Government Complex in Evans as we did for the picnic. We had such a nice time there for the Memorial picnic and the kids enjoyed the outside play so much that we think it will be a good venue for this time of year. As it gets hotter we may want to move to Brookfield park to take advantage of the fountain. We hope to see you there and to meet new families too. Sheridan, I apologize that we missed you at the picnic. We do hope to meet you June 19th!
If anybody has any topics they would like to discuss at the meeting please let us know. Hope the next couple of weeks go well for everyone.

Missed Connections
Hey all,
I ran into Sheridan today as we welcomed her husband home from Afghanistan (welcome home!). She said that she was at the park last saturday but didn't see anybody she knew from 4pm 'till 5:15pm. We figured out that the only folks there at that time (Eric/Melinda and Evie) were the ones who didn't know her and whom she didn't know! So, chalk up one more eos family at the park... just didn't realize we were all together. Gotta love the irony!
